ABSi's software development project teams have architected and developed industry-specific solutions with various commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) tools and technologies. Our deliveries of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence software solutions are COTS based. We have developed industry specific solutions with these COTS tools in the financial services, telecommunications, medical and other vertical sectors. Our vast repository of best practices, our multi-vendor relationships, and our pioneering “Rightsourcing” business model for the use of offshore software development resources, assure our customers of having the highest level of software quality available at lowest possible price.

We and our partners are certified on a variety of COTS platforms, including the ORACLE, DB2, and SQL Server database engines; the powerful Informatica Extract, Transform and Loading (ETL) tool, and the Cognos and Business Objects BI reporting suites, among others. Our project teams work regularly with these vendors to develop and test their new products and solutions before they are introduced to market. Most importantly, we understand well how to best evaluate and integrate COTS tools within the context of the customer’s IT environment, balancing both short term and long term requirements, and looking at maintainability and integration as key selection criteria.

We are vendor independent, and always give our customers unbiased advice on the best use of COTS tools for their Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence environment. Because we have a good working relationship and expertise across a variety of COTS tools we do not “push” any particular COTS vendor or software tool at our customers. We will work with them to pick the correct tool for the application or to better leverage software investments already made.
